Fear the Lord

When we lived in Texas, it was a common phenomenon to see a video of someone frying an egg on the sidewalk as a reaffirmation to all the hot people that the weather was hot… a visual illustration of, “duh.” If America was an egg, we would need to flip it soon or the bottom would be burnt. As if the water that has been warming to, “boil the frogs,” of society has not been uncomfortable enough, sometimes examples like these come along and inject microwaves of BTU’s into the searing atmosphere around us:

  • Target is targeting the grooming of kids with, “tuck-friendly,” pride-affirming solicitations… and just shut-up about it!
  • Pride parades featuring public acts of indecency and sadomasochism are promoted by city officials in a helter-skelter race to see who can be the most affirming affirmer rewarding groomers. “Celebrate sodomy or we will societally castrate you!”
  • Companies like Bud-Light are doubling-down instead of logically apologizing by giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to further promote transvestite agendas, in addition to being willing to destroy their brand on the altar of the god of pride.
  • 400,000 protestant ministers in the nation, influencing tens of millions of “believers,” who are mostly scared silent in the face of the Babylonian tyrants who control the economy, the information, popularity, and secular “value” systems we are to give obeisance to.

Then, there is the direct and open assault on Christians who dare to challenge the narrative, the propaganda, and the lies of the spiritual forces gathering en masse to control the information, emotion, and actions of their subservient worshippers. It looks as if the ones who were once sworn to protect natural (God-given) rights and constitutional rights are beginning the process of mutiny against liberty. Here is an excerpt from a Christian email I get about national events (https://stream.org):

Damon Atkins showed up at Reading, Pennsylvania’s first-ever “Pride” rally Saturday, carrying a sign saying, “Jesus Said Go and Sin No More.” It took him less than 60 seconds … and part of a Bible verse … to get arrested and cuffed.

A man named Matthew Ware captured the incident on video. He tells the Lancaster Patriot he had come across the Pride rally by accident and had started preaching, but had been forced to stop by the same officer who would bust Atkins.

On the video, you can see the officer having a brief conversation with Atkins. Atkins reminds him it’s public property. The officer says something to the effect of, “let them have their event,” and, “respect them.” Atkins responds that he is respecting the people. “You know who’s cheering for us – the people that are in hell.” (A reference to the parable where a rich man begs Father Abraham to let him warn his brother about the torment.)

The officer steps away. Atkins begins to recite 1 Corinthians 14:33, “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”

He barely gets his mouth open before the officer charges at him and arrests him.

According to the arrest affidavit, Atkins, “resumed yelling derogatory comments to the people at the event.”

The only words he had said loudly were, “God is not the —.” Which means … “Now in this country, ‘God’ is a derogatory term,” Atkins told The Lancaster Patriot. “That makes me sick to my stomach.”

Atkins was charged with, “Disorderly Conduct Engaged With Fighting.”

As he was being pushed up against a brick wall by three officers, Atkins is heard to say, “I can’t believe this is in Reading. I can’t believe this is in Reading.”

I can’t believe this is in America.

I can believe it is America because this slide down the slippery slope of fearful slavery by people who have become increasingly spiritually weak and fragile has been like a slow-motion video on some corny, “human fails,” montage. Some people who have pure hearts for righteous living hear these types of reports and assume they are just the extreme, far fringe of anti-Christ onslaughts lurking towards our once-Christian nation. I know, I was one of them. But, the hard-to-swallow reality is that our Biblical Worldview is the extreme minority viewpoint today, and we have massive amounts of real estate in the hearts of our neighbors to recapture with the truth.

I have peers in varying places of Christendom who are sincerely convinced that the proper response of the Ekklesia is to just stay away, and I respect their theological summations. But, I (Steve talking…) cannot watch the systematic abuse and destruction of a generation at the talons of vultures preying on the youngest and most innocent among us. The reason we are at this juncture of wickedness is because of the mute and masked christian-ish folks who shrug off the convicting pricks of morality with the excuse that it is someone else’s problem…

Until it’s your kid brutalized…

I am not saying any of these things to be scary or negative, I am saying them to evoke resolve, heroism, and righteous indignation that will empower us to run into the darkness with our supernatural light. I am not ashamed of the Gospel. There has been enough suffering already, and the ones called to alleviate the world’s pain are in need of a healthy dose of Godly reverence.

And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD that I am giving you this day for your own good? Behold, to the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, and the earth and everything in it.
Deuteronomy 10:12-14 BSB

If you look closely at this verse, it is just one single command with multiple expressions of humble compliance connected as fruitful actions.

The simple command: “Fear the Lord” – have deep awe, riveting reverence, an internal shaking for sacredness, honor for the Holy One

How: Walk in His ways… love Him… serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul… keep (His) commands and statutes. Which of these things should we do? Yes.

Why: It is all His! “Behold, to the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, and the earth and everything in it.” American culture included.

According to the Creator, we have no right to forfeit or surrender our neighborhoods, our children, or our society to the woke-mob, compliant and complicit with satanic principalities and powers. The whole cosmos belongs to Christ via conquest and we should be the occupying forces empowered with Divine virtues and passion.

There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!” ― Abraham Kuyper

Look at Colossians 1:15–18a ESV and highlight a high truth about Christ, the God-man, as celebrated in this text:

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church.

Jesus is the Lord of all creation.

Do you know what, “all,” means in the Greek?

“All,” is the thread that ties these verses together.

Note the all’s – five in the four verses:

  • Jesus is the firstborn of all creation.
  • In Him, all things were created.
  • All things were created through Him and for Him.
  • He is before all things.
  • In Him, all things hold together.

He is asking for ALL of us too, Beloved.

When He has ALL of us, we will present to Him ALL of the cosmos as our offering of gratitude to Him for giving us ALL of Himself in atonement to redeem ALL of our lives from ALL the works of the enemy.

The one practicing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, so that He might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8 BLB

If Jesus destroyed ALL the works of the enemy, then Jesus has the right to ALL of us. If He has ALL of us… the enemy has NONE! If the enemy has none, then the threats of persecution, oppression, violence, vile accusations, character assassinations, economic warfare, trauma, and cultural rejection will have zero impact on our walk and ways. That is the way things were intended to be for the children of the Most High God. If the enemy has none of us, it makes the remnant untouchable, undeniable, and an infinite threat to any entity or activity contrary to the King and His Kingdom (which is intended to be ALL the cosmos).

Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”
Mark 12:29-30 BSB

My prayer… He has ALL of us, so the world can have NONE!

I love ALL of you!
Steve
