Surely All Our
Hello my precious Beloved family!
I am thrilled to hear the testimonies and encounters that you all experienced this weekend. While Pastor Bob was bringing you the heart of the Father for healing, I had the immense honor of sharing the truths of Freedom and Liberty to our brothers and sisters in Texas.
It was such an encouragement to know that you were receiving revelation and power through the anointed ministry of healing that was energetically delivered to you. The timeless and relative truths of the healing promises of God for those daring enough to believe become more and more important in a world that runs helter-skelter towards the brink of sickness, disease, and pain. The truths about healing through the Finished Work of the Cross were some of the foundational truths that ushered the Kingdom into Kay and my lives. Healing is as much a part of the atoning work of salvation as forgiveness and reconciliation are. These healing revelations also make the scriptures come alive when you see how the prophetic word, the revealed Messiah, and the New Creation commentary of the epistles work conjointly together in this precious gift of grace.
Watch this…
The prophetic words that were to be granted to the people of a coming age were elegantly and precisely annotated through Isaiah 53:4-5:
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
I just LOVE how this prophecy starts out with SURELY… That is heavenly affirmation that leaves no room for doubt or denial. The prediction penned about 800 years before the birth of Christ carried some of the clearest and strongest language about Jesus’ destiny:
- He bore OUR griefs (sicknesses in Hebrew)
- He carried OUR sorrows (pains)
- He was wounded for OUR transgressions (intentional or unintentional violations)
- He was bruised for OUR iniquities (punishment for guilt)
- He was chastised for OUR peace (Divine tranquility)
- He was striped for OUR healing (Rapha, the name of the Lord our health)
Then smack dab in the middle of Jesus’ Earthly ministry, we see some very specifically pointed commentary in Matthew 8, while He walks through the common streets doing what His ministry was filled with… teaching, healing, and deliverance. In verses 16 and 17, we hear Matthew give us a Divine perspective of that day:
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with [his] word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare [our] sicknesses.
This is like a real-time play-by-play of what Jesus was doing and why. He was casting out tormenting spirits with just the power of His word. He was healing ALL (do you know what ALL means in the Greek?) that were sick… no-one was unqualified or disqualified. And the best part was this had a specific application, “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah…” Do you see the beauty and harmony of the prophetic and the Savior? Jesus was literally bringing healing and deliverance so we would all know that He was destined to give these gifts to mankind… and without reserve because ALL received His compassionate grace.
Just to make sure that there was never going to be room for anyone to explain away the Finished Work of Healing for mankind through the life, ministry, and resurrection of Jesus, we have even more proof in the epistle of First Peter that this was for all of the people who dared to enter into the New Birth covenant with their creator. Peter tells us that this healing work is a PAST TENSE reality now for us in our time. The truth is revealed in verse 24 of the second chapter.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
How awesomely cool is that, Beloved!
We have Isaiah telling us of a day to come when the Messiah (Savior, Christ) would come to accomplish certain freedoms for mankind that includes healing us through the taking on of stripes. Then we have Matthew giving us the overview of the ministry where Jesus was specifically TAKING that sickness and oppression from people in a literal and physical way to solidify the exactness of what was being given to us. Then Peter comes along with past-tense language and reiterates the precise verses of Isaiah to the people in the New Testament by writing it out in clear language that sin and sickness were forever dealt with by Jesus!
These truths and gifts are for ALL who will believe and receive them. Believe and BE HEALED!
That is enough to make a fella holler! Sorry for the twang… maybe a week in Texas was too long…
I literally can barely wait to see y’all again soon!
In Great Love,
Steve
